I would like to find an easy way or program to rip only the *.srt file from a dvd to be able to edit and then re-use the file. I need only to learn how to extract ONLY the subtitle file.

Anyway, use DVDSubEdit - Run OCR and then Save as SRT. You can then edit it with Notepad.

You should only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media. Many thanks to www.pcx.com.au for their supply and great service.

In Subrip, click Change Text Color.
Also, when opening the DVD, specify the IFO file.
But I agree with blu. Usually, it is much more easy to use DVDSubEdit.Comment

What do you mean by ..." I have the full CHmatrix file" ? The Character Matrix of one file may be different from another. So, you have to put the letters manually for the characters that are not recognised.sigpic
