    DVD-R Media

    I have bought a DVD-R Pioneer A04.
I'm trying to burn a movie a vidoe_ts with nero.

The problem I have is that after the burnnig completed I can play the movie with any computer DVD-Player.

But when I want to play the movie on my set-top DVD-Player
I get an error message - No Disc.

I tried this on few top-set DVD-Player and I got the same error.

could it be that movies can be written on a specified Media to work on a top-set DVD-Player??

is any one got this problem and solve it??

    thanks

    Matzas.

    RecordNowMax

try RecordNowMax (from Veritas, VAR'd by Stomp www.stomp.com).

It's the best DVD burner software out there, consistently great results with DVD-R/+R

Have AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS (CAPITAL LETTERS) on the root of the disc. And use UDF file system.

-- its prob just the media you are using. I used that cheap ass meritline pro stuff. out of 35 diff players it played on 3 2 of wich were $1000 machines.

I use the meritline cheap dvd-rs and they work perfectly in every dvd player I have ever used.

EDIT: I actually have been using the DVD-Pro media, I guess its not Meritline even though that is where I bought it. The media works fine for me. $150 for 100 dvd-rs with real dvd cases.

I create the directories with DVDit.
I write the DVD with Prassi.
The meritline media won't play on any DVD players.

Doing the exact same thing with Apple media plays on all DVD players.

              Its the media.
