DTS to AC3

Hi all.

New to this forum, had a little search around the internet for a decent forum to ask my question & this come up trumps!! *Fingers crossed*

Right,

I have an MKV file which is encoded with DTS sound. I'm looking to convert the audio (DTS) to AC3 5.1 without touching the quality of the video. Is this possible? Its really important that the video stays exactly the same (if possible!)

You can demux the mkv into audio and video stream with tsmuxer

Next use EAC3to to convert DTS to AC3

Finally mux audio and video again with muxman

After doing some extra digging, I found that PopCorn MKV AudioConverter; which after 10mins of configuration I've found that it uses EAC3to.

Pretty good program actually!
