    HD Video on DVD

Hopefully this is the right forum as it is about mpeg2 and burning to a DVD+R DL disc.

I have many HD programs I have converted to 720P mpeg files with AC3 audio, none of which is over 8GB in size. I was planning to copy these to DL DVD just in case.

I assume I can just copy them to a DVD as an archive, however, while I am at it, I would prefer to format them in such a way as to play on a BD or HD DVD player (I have both). Any easy way to do this?

Alternately, I could reauthor to high bitrate SD DVD, but I have not found a good program to do so. I would take recommendations on that as well.

Use multiAVCHD to create Blu-ray or AVCHD structures

AVCHD can be burned to DVD/DVD-DL (and of course BD-R/BD-RE)

in many cases multiavchd has no need to reencode your video or audio and thus the quality is as good as it gets
