make dvd with subtitles contained within mp4

I'm trying to prepare a dvd using an MP4 file that has optional subtitles. I don't have the .srt file. When I watch the MP4 in VLC I can access the subtitles track via Video>Subtitles>track 1

But I would like to author the dvd with the subtitles. Is there any way to go about this or do I just need to download the srt files seperately?

You can extract the subtitle data from the MP4 file using YAMB.
