MPEG-2 to VOB??

Hello

Does anybody know of a utility that can convert a MPEG-2 file
to VOB file directly.

Any source or the name of a program would be appreciated

Yeah. I hardware capture in MPEG-2 and burn it straight to .VOB using Ulead DVD Movie Factory. It must be DVD-compliant. Otherwise, you'll have to render the movie before burning.

To be DVD-compliant it has to be the right resolution, sample rate range, frame rate, etc. You should have a template with your capture software called "DVD-NTSC" or "DVD-PAL", depending on your country. That should capture in the right format. Then just open in DVDMF and create your DVD files or burn to disc.

If you're not capturing the file yourself, you might need to convert it using TMPGenc or another MPEG file creation app. Then you should be able to just open with DVDMF and write out the .VOB files.

Did I forget anything important, anyone??
