Help with this list of DVD's which are less than 4.6 gbs

I just bought a burner last week and I dont have a lot of time to fool around so I've just been burning dvds which are less than 4.6.

I thought it would be helpful to get a list going of movies that have a nice size which would make good rentals, etc.

Movies I've done so far that are under 4.6:
-Hart's War (standard side)
-Best in Show
-Empire Records
-Office Space
-Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (double disk dvd fits perfectly on 2 dvds)
-Usual Suspects
-Princess Bride
-Risky Business

Additions to the list would be helpful.

you dont need to stop at 4.6

I keep trying to tell everybody, but what I did was I got a TV capture card, hooked my dvd player up to the card, captured the dvd to my harddrive and then I burned it back to a dvd. The capture card captures at dvd quality and you can also edit the bit rate.

So lets say you have a movie that is 2.5 hours, that will more than likeley be over 4.6 gigs, dvd streams at 6 megs persec all you will have to do it set the stream to like 5.5 megs persec and you can fit almost another 45 mins on there.

I have gladiator on a dvd-r that for damn sure is over 4.7 I lowered the bit rate so that it would fit, you will get a degrade in picture but the human eye cannot dected 500k per sec loss it starts to pick it up at around 1.5 meg per sec loss, and I was way above that.

it would be good if there was a web site that showed sizes of all dvd films and also sizes if you just rip the movie or some of the streams.
you could have the name of the film and then what is needed to fit it on a dvd-r.either fits ok, rip just the movie, needs additional streams removed or needs to be reencoded. and that way we could decide which films to do

planet of the apes fits on one disk, if you stip it down to movie and just two audio channels(6channel and 2 channel commentary)

last night i ripped 5 movies to my hard drive with STREAM PROCCESSING enabled keeping only the main video and the 5.1 audio 6 channel. 4 out of the 5 were able to fit onto a DVD-R without anything else. only Black Hawk Down had to run through REMPEG2 to shrink it down a tad. otherwise it took me under 45 minutes to rip them all and then all i had to do was pop them into SPRUCEUP for authoring. the 4 movies that were small enough after stream proccessing were LEGALLY BLONDE,VAN WILDER,CHANGING LANES,LISS THE GIRLS.
this was just an FYI to those who go through the trouble of recording via a capture card......sometimes it's better to go the ripping route.

Depends on the card

Crappy cards give crappy results, ripping will always be better witht that, but if you get a top of the line HARDWARE encoding card, that doesnt require the use of a CPU thats a different story........
