The trial version is ready for download and evaluation. Remember, this release will be updated, so if there are bugs - give pinnacle a chance to fix em before you make up your mind.
As setarip correctly guessed, you will need to rip the files to your HD before you use Instant Copy. This release of Instant copy does not copy css protected dvds like I thought it would. You will need to use DvdDcrypter with this program. Hopefully a later release will incorporate some of DvdDecrypters abilitys. There is a test version in existance that does work with copywrited DVDs, so maybe they are planning on adding this in future releases. DvdXCopy has been able to dodge the RIAAs bullet for some time now. Maybe Pinncle will try. I hope so.
Here is the link for Instant Copy trial. http://www.pinnaclesys.com/displaydo...13&templ=10113 After clicking the trial link at the pinnacle page, double click the trial.zip icon.
The download will take a little time, especially if you a have 56K. It took me 10 minutes to download with a cable line. Their servers must be taking a beating
The limitations of the trial version are: The demo is good for 15 days. But the AC3 audio is limited to 5 minutes.
If you live in Europe, here is a link if you want to pre-order a boxed version. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...624714-6048620
I don't think you can buy a download version yet. Maybe I'll try the German site.
