    probs in backup

Hi, I've just recently been figuring out how to write DVDs. I used the article that shows how to step by step with DVD Decrypter, InfoEdit, and Nero.
The first 2 times were perfect, no problems. I'm on the 6th different DVD now and have had problems with sound. All my backups have director commentaries or alternate in English, Spanishm and French.
This isn't because of some kind of protection is it? Could it be due to the folders I'm saving it to on my hard drive?
Is there an easier or more consistent method available? It's been really frustrating and I've wasted about 6 or 7 DVD-Rs.
I'd really appreciate any advice. Thanks.

As I know, there is no sound protection in DVD audio. Protection just on DVD Video (DeMacrovision or DECSS). Both of video protection can be handled by DVD Decryptor.
So, please give us more detail information about your sound problem. Is it noisy or no sound at all, or it's mix up ?

      sound

thanks for your help. there is sound, and it's clear, it's just in different languages for each chapter and alternating with director commentaries that speak over the movie sound. i didn't have problems the first few times with this.

"Is there an easier or more consistent method available?"

Replace IFOEdit with DVD95Copy or DVD2One (Both are commercial products)
