I have not used the +r disks from Ritek, but I nearly always use their -r disks and they have been extremely reliable ( at 4x ).

Setup is DVDShrink / Nero / TMPGEnc / Scenarist / DVDDecryptor
running on Win2k with Pioneer 105, playback on Pioneer 7x7's and various cheap players.

Not made a single coaster yet! ( or at least, none that were
    due to media errors... )

Yes, both +r and +rw - I like them. Using an HP200i 2.4x burner, no coasters after 25 +r burns, who knows how many +rw burns

I can't beleive that you guys are using +r's +rw's work sometimes in stand alones. I have found that -r's have a 99% compatability rate when compared to +r's as when I first bought my sony dru500a I bought a 10pack of optodisk +r's and they all worked fine at 2.4 but they wouldn't work on 7out of 8 dvd players that I tried and they also wouldn't read in my laptops dvdrom on in the burner. So I switched to - R media and well the compatability is awesome I haven't found a dvd player yet and I go to best buy, american, Circuit City, Walmart , Shopko , Kmart, Electronic Stores in various malls in the area. and the 99% compatability rates still holds true.

so why are you guys using dvd+r media?
