The best DVD-R Media

Does anyone know which is the best DVD-R media to use for maximum performance, compatibility and reliability?

Is there any point in getting branded media like Verbatim, Infiniti etc?

For an excellent combination of quality/reliability and price, I heartily recommend Ritek DVD-Rs...

(Virtually all of the major brand names are equally reliable, but cost far more than the Ritek DVD-Rs)

Thanks for your advise. I am currently using Pioneer AO5 and have only tried Verbatim dvd-r.

I'm a little worried about trying other unbranded dvd-r. So, do you feel that as lond as it is 'Ritek' dye, it doesn't matter what brand it is?

these are great ritek DV307 is a good die, and like the others said all the ritek discs are good
