1 to 1 with Nero - yet again

I have read other posts, but haven't yet found the answer.

I ripped an entire disk using SmartRipper onto my hard drive.

Can I use Nero to completely reproduce this disk on a DVD-R? The entire original is about 3.5GB, so I shouldn't lose any quality, right?

I am unclear of the NERO settings to use to create a COMPLETE, UNCHANGED (except for protection) copy of my original.

    Thanks in advance,

Yes you should be able to. As long as smart ripper has decerypted the files.

I use the DVD Video mode in the new compilation screen for Nero for creating the DVD. Just press new and use the settings that are already chosen for you.

It will create the audio.ts and video.ts folder for you, and then the files can then be put in the video.ts folder. All the IFO's, BUP's and VOB's must be put in the there.

The audio.ts folder can be ignored.

      NWG,

Many thanks for the help. I was not sure which of the new compilation screens to use. I followed your advice and it worked perfectly.

Some Dvd players might be confused with such a disk. To be sure that the dvd ist compatible to any player you have another possibility with nero.

          1. choose "dvd rom (udf/iso)"

          - no multisession
          -iso level 1
          -no joliet
          -no loose iso restrictions

          2 go to tab "UDF"
-Choose "physical partition" and "UDF 1.02"

          3. That`s it. Now create a new folder on the empty dvd called "VIDEO_TS" (uppercase!!) and paste your dvd contents there.

          4. Toast it to a dvd!

          5. enjoy.

Other- ever more reliable - possibility
use "imgtool" (www.coujo.de) (version 0.89!!) , create an imagefile and toast it with the Writemode of Dvd-decrypter

            To Fetchdaferret

"Some Dvd players might be confused with such a disk."

This ceased to be a concern, regarding NERO's "DVD-Video" mode, subsequent to v.5.5.10...
