I'm finding the 4.5GB capacity of current DVD-R's to be too limiting. I'm really looking forward to larger format recording capabilities, as I suppose we all are.
I believe Sony came out with a DVD-R drive a few months ago that will be able to write to a 9 GB disk. I recall the price being absurd, but that's usual when new technology first comes out.
Is anyone aware of what might be happening in the DVD-R world that might indicate these capacity drives may be coming down in price. Competition will surely do it.
