    ND-1300A weird problem, please help...

When I first got the drive last week, I successfully burned 2 cdrs, 2 dvd-r and 1 dvd+r movie backups that play on both our pioneer (new standalone dvd player, region 1) and another pioneer (old model dvd player, region free - I bought from asia). I recently burned two dvd backups using DVD-R and DVD+R discs and both don't play on the newer region 1 pioneer player while both play fine on the older player (region free). I didn't change any settings on DVD Decrypter (always region free), Device Manager - both set at region 1. I also used a Fuji DVD+RW for burning using Nero - no success and burned an iso of the movie using DVD Decrypter - no success also. What could have gone wrong? Your help is greatly appreciated..

WinXP Pro, 512MB, NEC burner secondary master, Sony reader secondary slave, both DMA mode enabled, Nero 6 to burn DVD+/-R/W, DVD Decrypter for ripping, DVD shrink for backing up/shrinking, Verbatim DVD-R media, Verbatim DVD+R media, FUJI DVD+RW media.

    thanks! - nelson

Did u use the same media as u did before?
Sony dvd-rw plays in my dvd player whereas tdkdvd-rw does not.
Find a good media that works and stick with it.

And also... did you use the same version of Nero (6.x) ?
Nero is still buggy, so look also in that direction....
        Thanks,

        David.

          just for information,

no promises it'll work but there's a V1.07 firmware upgrade on NEC's site - takes some finding but it's there
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!
