    who's the jerk here?

using TMPGenc I encoded and combined two avi files into one mpeg (dvd pal) file. I then authored it using TMPGenc dvd author. The approx. size of the file is 6.5Gb. Using Powerdvd I previewed the vts files and they all seem fine. I compressed (level 8) the file with dvd shrink v2.3 to approx. 4.2Gb. The resulting vts files when previewed have jerky and stuttering playback every couple 0f seconds, rendering them unwatchable. I havent bothered to burn it. I tried v3.0 but it was unable to open the vob files.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. regards
