Nero digital MP4, convert to MP2?

I have several clips ripped and saved using Nero digital recode. It says it is an MP4. Is there a way to convert the MP4 to an Mpeg 1 or 2?

Try TMPGEnc Plus with Quicktime plugin and you will get a good quality VCD or DVD file.

If you're ripping the files why not use Dvddecrypter or Dvdshrink and the files will be mpeg2 and you won't have to re-encode

neros .mp4 files are mpeg-4 standard compliant files, which contain aac audio (as it is for example used in the itunes music store)

you can decode mp4/aac audio streams for example with winamp5 to .wav (dunno if winamp can also already encode to .mp2)
