Why not read and create iso with decrypter and then use dvd shrink to compress iso???

can someone please tell me the difference in burning an iso with the read function is decrypter and then going to open iso in DVDshrink and compressing compared to reading all of the files separately in decrypter and then opening all files in dvdshrink? Are they exactly the same thing? What are the benefits of each? thanks alot!

ISO mode creates a single file that emulates a bit-bit disc image. It must be "loaded" using a tool like Daemon or any virtual drive tool. Shrink would then open it up as if it was physically mounted, although the ISO file has been cracked according to the selected DVDDecrypter options.

File mode processes each file on the DVD, cracks them according to the options selected in DD then write them back out using the same file names as on the DVD. These files are like any other file on your hard drive. In Shrink, you select the folder where the VOB and IFO files have been placed by DVDShrink instead of selecting the drive.

The big difference is DVDDecyrpter does just that: decrypts the DVD, not much else. Shrink does the decrypting as well as provides a number of added function to process the DVD.

As you are new to this, the tradeoffs are pretty small and not where you should spend your energy. I strong suggest you use DVDShrink since it will do all you need to get going. One tool to learn, etc.
