    no file extension

ok, a buddy ripped a movie on his laptop, compressed it, and sent it to me via xip disks to burn on my burner.

i've unzipped the files, but there are no file extensions on any of the 90+ files. under "file type" it just says "R01" "R02"... "R90".. anybody have any clues? i'm not sure what program he used to rip the movie.

(not sure if it helps or not, but the total file size is 4.3 g)

Sounds like he used winrar to split the files up.

Have you got all file extensions shown. They are normally hidden by windows.

It sounds like you have to ask him what he used.

yeah, they're shown. the file names are like "rep-kbvol1.r01". there are even a couple files extracted from the same file that have normal extensions, ie. .txt, .sfv

Use WinRar to extract and JOIN the files - Then burn to DVD...
