Won't play in standalone (but should) please help!

Hi thanks for any help in advance,
The DVD's that I backup using bulkpaq media don't work in my sony DVD standalone player. Yet the ones that my mate backs up using the same disks do. Anyway if I give the method I use hopefully someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
First I use decrpytor in file mode to put the DVD on my drive.
Then I use shrink to create an image file
Then I use Nero 6 to burn the image file onto disk (nerosmart -> dvd -> burn image)
My DVD burner is an optorite dd0203, on a side note the DVD's I create dont seem to spin initially when there put in the DVD player. Do I perhaps need to add an autorun.ini file?
    Thanks for any help
    Mike

There hvae been many posts indicating that "bulkpaq media" are extremely unreliable and of inconsistent quality...

(I'd suggest you try higher quality media, such as Ritek)

Do YOUR burned DVDs play on your friend's standalone DVD player? If not, perhaps there is a problem either with your burner, your burning procedures, or the VERSION of NERO you are using (V.6.0.0 is TERRIBLY flawed. Also, MANY folks are having problems using the TRIAL version)

            To Mikewill53:

Now that you have upgraded to the latest version of Nero, I would suggest burning at a lower speed such as 2x or 1x.
