When trying to back up an original dvd using dvd shrink my pioneer 107d wont allow it as it finds a copyright encryption track. Is there anyway around this?

Most DVDs are encrypted to stop you doing what your trying to do. I use DVDFab copy the DVD to a folder on my harddrive. It also strips the encryption and region code from the DVD. You have a choice of copying just the movie or the entire disc. I then use Nero Recode to burn and shrink the DVD to a single DVD + or - disc.
You could possibly use dvd shrink instead of nero recode.
AnyDVD is good if you want to watch DVDs on your PC. Helps with region and encryption crap.
