    hey guys
i ripped a dvd using dvd shrink (iso) and burned it using dvd decrypter (thanks to your help). when i try to use anything other than my computer to watch it, it doesnt work. is there a way to be able to watch it on a normal dvd player or playstation2?

I found all other apps too much trouble. I now only use Nero Express with Nero Recode and 'DVD for Free'.

Recode will read in a dvd, compress and copy it straight back to fit on a 4.7 disk.
These play fine in my dvd player although I think you'll find that to do anything you'll need a fairly modern dvd player

Just be aware tho that even a perfect dvd copy on a dvd-r on one dvd player can give frequent 'correcting disk error' jumps (bearable), another dvd player wouldnt play them at all (older player) and another was totally fine.

I find the only sure fire way to have them work is to use a dvd drive on a pc which will play anything.
This has put me off buying a dvd recorder to go with the tv as I cant be sure what it is going to be able to play.
Instead I think I'll further integrate the pc and tv.
