Back-ups keep messing up

How about this theory.....

Ritek will burn consistantly at 4x.....whereas bulkpak's only work well at 2x---even though they're rated for 4x.

Seems to be my conclusion so far, but have only burned one Ritek at 4x so far...need to do more for a valid comparison.

(Side note.....my burner is having difficulty recognizing the Ritek's in the burner, whereas the burner recognizes my cheaper Bulkpak's every time) Did a firmware upgrade on the burner, cause it didn't recognize the Ritek's at all B/4...Now it's hit and miss...it just never ends....but overall no complaint's...its all good.

Just cuz Ritek's work well for some does not mean it's a good match for your burner. If the media doesn't burn at it's rated speed, chuck it. It's wrong for your burner.

My burner's a TDK 440N External-with the latest firmware 1.0A

Ritek burned at 4x for a heavily Shrinked file that normally would only burn ok at 2x with my bulkpak generec's (reason for my theory).

Still haven't burnt any more Ritek's as of late-will try more soon.

Hi Ihave just joined the forum, I have been using Teac DVD+R and have not had any problem using DVD, shrink and DVD decrypter I have done about 10 burns all O/K.
