Nero 6 Freezes when DMA enabled

Help Please

I have a Sony DRU 700A Burner with Nero 6 OEM software. All works OK until you enable DMA which will then cause nero to freeze. If I run in PIO mode it works OK.
Any help would be great.

Have a look in your BIOS when your PC first starts up to make sure you have DMA enabled there. It sometimes conflicts with what Windows is trying to do.

If however this is the way you've turned it on, double check Device Manager in Windows.


btw: what version number is your Nero? If 6.0.0... try an update.

The version number of Nero is 6.3.1.1.5

I can't find in my BIOS any where to enable DMA. However if I run Nero system info tool it shows my other DVD reader
(liton 165) with DMA on.
