    Pioneer a05 playback prob

I have a pioneer a05 dvd burner, has been workin fine till recently where after backing up dvds they fail to play back in full. All menus work & the dics plays but will stop near the end of a movie & jerk forward very slowly (moves maybe once every couple of minutes. The movie stops at diffferent places in different stand-alone dvd players but none will play all the movie.

Has anyone got any idea what could be causing this, it always happens towards the end so could it be a problem with the drives laser alignment.

    Thanks for any suggestions

"it always happens towards the end"

This is typically the result of using poor quality burnable DVDs. Try using higher quality media, such as Ritek...

I believe i am using Princo White Label DVD-R inkjet printable. I tried burning the same movie on a TDK DVD-RW at 1X. It worked fine till the end. Would reducing the burning speed when using the Princo media improve results.

      Cheers.

Princo burnable DVD media have a horrible reputation. Again, try using higher quality media, such as Ritek...
