backup DVD on doublesided DVD-R

I have DVD movie 8 Gb big and I want to make backup of it on doublesided DVD-R. Is it possible to make it play continuously or, other words, how to make DVD menu working on the second side.

I tryed to burn all the small files of original movie on both sides. Only difference is that big *.vob files. On the side "A" I erased second part of big vobs and on the second - first part. Side "A" everithing works nicely, but menu on second does not.

Maybe you know some other way how to backup DVDs longer then 4.7 Gb that menu of original still working.

A program called "DVD-replica" will allow you to "Split" a DVD into 2 DVD (r, rw) disks, or in your case a "Double-sided" DVD-R and retain the menu structure.

yes, i'm just found it and trying right now. thank you, setarip. I do not like one thing: why in re-author mode I cant keep original structure of the DVD but just remove parts I do not need. Why I have to rebuild DVD from the scratch? ... useless... anyway, ill try...

You won't be able to retain the menu structure by using "Re-Author" mode in DVD Shrink, but you can make your own menus with an "Authoring" application such as "TMPGEnc DVD Author" or "DVD Lab". These programs are shareware with a 15-30 day trial period. However, if all you wish to do is retain the original menu structure of the DVD by "Splitting" it onto 2 disks, I would still recommend "DVD-replica".

i didnt get it yet... i cant find where i can d/load it to try. official site want me to buy it.
