1 to 2 Sony Duplicator - Need Help

Does anyone have any experience burning their movies as backups with a stand alone 1 to 2 Duplicator?

The Sony 1 to 2 Duplicator states "Your master must be non-copy protected and it is in DVD-5 format (or less than 4.7GB capacity)"

Question: Can I install DVD shrink and/or DVD decrypter on this stand alone & burn DVDs directly, just like I would on a PC or will this not work? It comes with an 80GB Hard Drive.

I'm looking at buying one as I spend a lot of time at work & it would help with making some copies here, along with the flexibility to cart it around. However, I need to make sure that I can use the burner just like I have on my PC with DVD shrink.

Hope that makes sense & I would greatly appreciate the help

    Thx in advance

    Hello

This all subject is too suggestive to something our forum rules are quite clear about.

I ask myself this simple question after reading your message, why would I want two copies of the same thing? Sure to B sure this all sounds a little off white!

And if your answer is home made Video/DVD then theres is no need to install DVD SHRINK.

          Ahhhhhhhhh!

Most of what I know about computers is trial and error, there are a silly amout of people who learned the same way.

ddlooping or Dr. Shrink may know the answer, I dont...

Don't know the reason for you to use this. Lets assume you want to copy your marriage movies.

It has Optional USB 2.0/Firewire IEEE 1394 connection to a computer - so it should work as an external device. You can't run DVDShrink on this copier direct. So you need to connect it to a PC.

But if you can burn directly from DVDShrink/Nero i doubt. Think you have to save the output to a hard disk and then use the built in (?) software to burn.
