If unzipping is extracting then yes I did. I then Placed the file into the nero folder with no success of a copy on the fly.
I did notice the file that I replaced was created before the one that was already in the nero folder. I dragged it back out and renamed the original back to what it was.

Thanks for your help.
Here is a Utility from Nero that removes old drivers that might still exist on your system that are no longer needed and have been known to cause conflict.
Instructions by Nero Support:
Download cleanpack.zip from ftp://ftp9.nero.com/attach/cleanpack.zip
Extract the zipped files onto your hard disk using WinZip or WinRar.
You should now have two files: Driver-CleanTool.exe and RegistryChecker.exe.
First, run Driver-CleanTool.exe by double-clicking it.
Driver-CleanTool will deactivate drivers that caused problems in Nero in the past.
Confirm the deactivation of the drivers displayed in order to prevent known driver conflicts from reoccurring in the future.
These drivers also exist, with values, in the registry in Windows NT, 2000 and XP.
In order to ensure that these are also deactivated you will need to run the RegistryChecker file.
The Registry Checker will run very quickly. It is likely that you won't see any action after double clicking the file.
Note: Running the Registry Checker is not necessary for Windows ME, 98SE, 98 or 95.
Trion is correct. Rename the old file and place the "new" one in the Nero directory. I did not have to reboot since I had not been doing much any way. Since the .DLL is not a system file it is only read at nero run time.
If this is not working for you we may in fact have different problem with a similar symptom. If you put a DVD-RW or +RW in the drive were you able to read it? This would be the key to me that it we have the same problem. The other thing I noticed is that I could read the DVD-R I wanted to copy just fine in my DVD burner only the DVD-ROM had problems.
I am using a MadDog 16x DVD-ROM to read from and it apparently does not support the ReadTrackInfo.
I use DVD+R's only. I did rename the file to CDROMa.dll
and placed the other CDROM.dll in with no luck.
I'm just using Alcohol 120% to copy on the fly when I need to; it works just fine.
Thanks for your help.
