DL burn after blanking annoying FBIs etc

Has anyone done a DL burn (perhaps with DVD decrypter?) after getting rid of, or blanking, annoying FBIs/studio promos at beginning and end (I still hate that stuff!!!)? If so, was there anything special to adjust in regards to the layer break?

Idea here is to rip in file mode (keeping layer break?), bypass annoying stuff with appropriate PGC editor and write and burn to ISO but not sure what happens to layer break.

As long as you've turned off PUOs, what's the big deal about pressing the "Next" button on your remote (once, twice, or even three times)? As long as you're making aD/L DVD, you don't have to worry about filesize, so why make extra work?

Filesize is not the issue - obviously. I like the DVD to start at the menu and don't like pressing "next". As well, many DVDs are authored to go straight to the movie so will require some reauthoring.

So, the question still stands.

Not to belabor a point that is not your main topic of discussion but, at least in Region 1, if I've seen two such commercial DVDs out of the more than 500 that I have, that's a lot...

I'm sure another poster will provide you with a direct rsponse to your original question...

Well just to laugh at that a little. But I'm not sure why they even have FBI warning outside Region 1. Not like the FBI is going to show up at your door with any legit warrent to search and seize. Makes me chuckle on that one.

We have warnings in R4, too. And lots of promos and other junk on the disk such as DD/DTS intros. And there is also the issue of if you want to add stuff to the disk.

I understand how the season can lead to merriment and "chuckles" but can somebody actually proffer some advice please? I know the topic of DL is relatively new but the thread was started in all seriousness.
