Error when burning to DVD

Hi, I am receiving the below error when trying to burn to DVD, the drive I have is a NEC DVD RW ND3520_A. Please could anyone help???

First update your Nero. That version is old and is full of bugs. - http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php

Turn on DMA, your encoding times should decrease dramatically! - Check your DMA settings - How ? do this -> Go to Control Panel> System> Hardware Tab> Device Manager> IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers> Right Click Primary IDE channel (and Secondary IDE channel after you finish with Primary)> Properties> Advanced Settings Tab> Transfer Mode or <a href="http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616">click here to learn.</a>

Do the above from both "Primary & Secondary IDE channels".

I (We) need to know whats in both "Transfer Mode" and "Current Transfer Mode". Screen shot below is what I'm talking about.

What have you done in regard to decrypting/compressing the original DVD?

If you have not compressed the original DVD, is it double-layered?

Hi, I have checked as you said on the Primary IDE channel properties,
Device 0 reads, Ultra DMA mode 5
Device 1 reads, not applicable

DMA was just one of the three things I suggested. Have you done the others?

Also can you answer what setarip asked?

Hi jmet and setarip I did as you said which has now solved the problem I had the nero latest edition supported duel layer dvd writers and is now working properly, Thankyou for your help with this mater, regards brixhamdon
