Welcome to the forums palma, for future reference try to tell us alittle more information besides "then cause an error...".

What is the error message? Which program are you using to burn with?

I am using DVD SHrink with Nero for burning, and wouldn't you know it I don't have the message about the Error. I am sorry, this is the first time I have posted so I will make sure that I get more info the next time around. Thanks for trying.

I also use AnyDVD with all my movies now

Part of it was filmed in my home town. Hollywood closed one of our main roads for almost 2 weeks! Grrr

Oh no did I post my serial number with that one? If I didn't is it the very beginning numbers before the whole burn process. I want to make sure that I don't give that info out. Sorry I am really new it all this. Thanks again.

Update your firmware. The latest version of firmware for your burner is 1.1A . You can download it here: http://sony.storagesupport.com/legal...a/510a_11a.zip

(I have the same exact burner, I love it!)

Update your Nero to the latest version asap. That version is extremely buggy! You may update it here: http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php

Defiantly download "Package 1". "Package 2" is optional.

Give those 2 suggestions a try, and then try to burn again.

I did the firmware today but I think I did it after I tried to burn Vanity Fair. I am trying to update to 6.6 version of Nero is that the one that you are talking about or a different version all together. I really appreciate your help.

You may choose Open or Save. After downloading it should tell you what version firmware you have for your Sony DRU-510A.

(If it doesn't say 1.1A, go to the link I provided up above and update your firmware)

I can't figure out how I posted to this site so the only way I can do this now is to reply to the original I posted. First can someone tell me how to post to the site and second I have a problem.

Although I think this is a Nero problem and not the movie I will list my whole burn history. I am using Nero version6.6, Sony ddu1613 for reading the disc and Sony dru-510a (with the most updated firmware) for burning. I have enabled Nero in the preferences of DVD Shrink.......................but I have been having a hard time burning at all. I also use DVDXCopy Platinum and that won't work at all for me now, so I switched to DVD Shrink. I am also using AnyDVD...........here is the history for the burn can anyone help.

Although I think this is a Nero problem and not the movie I will list my whole burn history. I am using Nero version6.6, Sony ddu1613 for reading the disc and Sony dru-510a (with the most updated firmware) for burning. I have enabled Nero in the preferences of DVD Shrink.......................but I have been having a hard time burning at all. I also use DVDXCopy Platinum and that won't work at all for me now, so I switched to DVD Shrink. I am also using AnyDVD...........here is the history for the burn can anyone help.
