Burn process failed, Can't make anything of it

I have been backing up my DVD's to take to the desert on my deployment. They have worked perfectly until just recently. I am using an external burner, imation 8x dvd-r, dvd-shrink v. 3.2, nero free trial v. 6.6.0.8. I have tried using dvd decrypter then opening the files with dvd shrink. Please give me some help, I have tried using the FAQ section but can't seem to make anything of it.

Thanks that fixed my burning problem, but on the DVD Goin' South dvdshrink encountered an error - - - cannot read data - cycle redundancy. More help plz!

A CRC error indicates that there's a problem with the physical DVD (scratched, dirty, Peanut Butter and Jelly - or "ARccOS" copy protection) that DVD Shrink cannot resolve. First, try cleaning the DVD. If DVD Shrink still generates this error:

Use DVD Decrypter v.3.54 to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive in "File" mode - and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "All files" (NOT "movie files").

Then use DVD Shrink v.3.2xxx to "Open files" (NOT "Open Disk")
