New burn failures with Nero

[polodog]

After several successful backups, my coaster collection is increasing with each attempt, now at 6! After searching the forum for solutions, I have done the following with no luck;
enabled DMA
defragmented hard drive
change target size to 4300
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you backing up a burned disc? Could be that your input disc is not error free.

Previously having success with a certain brand of media is irrelevant. I have Dynex DVD+R disc. They are crappy unreliable media. Some work, some don't. I suggest in either updating your firmware like cynthia said or getting a different brand of disc.

@ cynthia - Dynex brand media is a cheap brand they sell at Best Buy. Usually a 50 Cake box, for like $10.00 after your mail in rebate.

I am not backing up burned disks. I have the original DVD and I use Decryptor first and save to hard drive. Then I use DVD Shrink and Nero to burn. It is successful in encoding and starts the burn process, sometimes getting all the way to 85% burned before failing.

Yes, the Dynex 50 pack DVD+R media was cheap, but the first 12 were all good and the next 6 from the same pack have all failed!

Okay, so just to make sure before I totally scrap the remaining 25 DVDs in my Dynex pack and purchase a good brand, although the burn process has started and completes up to 85% burned before failure, it is the media that is at fault. Right?

Write errors continue, log posted

Well, I replaced my media to Verbatim+R and at first had a couple of successes. Then, every time is write error, 4 and counting. After Shrink fails to burn, I tried to go to the saved files and burn with nero 6. This is the latest log, any help is always appreciated!
