Switching from 8X to 4X discs, foresee any problems??

    Hi all,
Since I started backing up my discs a few months ago, all I have been using is Taiyo Yuden discs, the 8X type. I was burning at 8X but encountered problems with artifacts, freezing, etc, so I only burn now at 4X and haven't had any problems since. So here's the deal, I usually pay around $45 for 100 Taiyo 8X discs, but the 4X Taiyo discs are $23 for 100, so would there be any problems switching to the 4X??? It just makes sense to me to save half the money on discs since I'm not burning at 8X, but I'm not sure if there will be any problems with it. Any help is greatly appreciated.....

That's a great deal and should have no negative impact on your burning results...

Personally curious to know who's selling them at this price.

Meritline.com has them selling right now for $39.49 for a 100 Pack (but it appears to be some kind of coupon deal).

ok supermediastore.com has them $27 for a hundred (4x), but they not packaged the same as the ones I've been getting from Rima.com which are $43 (8x). Looks like they come wrapped in plastic, no cake box. Still a great deal IF they are authentic. Any thoughts?

Supermediastore has the 4x TY's for $24.95 after a coupon code on the site applied not including shipping and tax.. And ya can get 100 paper envelopes with flaps and a window for $3.99 and no shipping charge for the envelopes.

I ordered these shiny silver bad boys last month and received TYG02's (8x)

Edit - oh yeah, and they had the 8 digit serial number near the hub on the top. Mine started with GG
