CD-DVD speed scan testing of media

The green curved line in tranfer scan, in cd-dvd speed, is what I have tested for.

But it is possible to miss errors if your drive starts@2x instead of 4x/6x?

    correct?

Looks as it has some problems reading certain spots on your disc.

Have you done the DVD Error Test? http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=44912

The other test looks better. Could be that your reader is not very good at reading burned discs. I looked but there is no updated firmware at all. It's a rebadged reader.

It is more of a general question as opposed to this particular disc. The 2x starting point as opposed to 4x/6x, does it or can it have a bearing on the scan?

          cheers

          On the FW
I have the sammy/toshiba flashed with rpc and the plextor well finding fw for that is rather a forlorn procedure

Can't imaging that it should have any impact if you start on 2 or 4x.
