Great Quality DVD-R's?

I have a HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA 4082B, i use maxell DVD's and they're all right, but im looking for an inexpensive alternative.
Does anyone buy "Great Quality" blank DVD's from Fry's Electronics?Are they successful?

I have purchased and burnt at least 1500 from here and have NEVER had an issue with them in any standalone and make a coaster maybe 1-500

Thanks for the site, but have you ever heard of the brand name called "Great Quality" they are sold at Fry's Electronics for very cheap and i was wondering if they are worth it.

I have never heard of that brand name and without a media id, the brand on the disc doesn't mean anything, it sounds like a small company and i would imagine the media is garbage.

I guess the advice that I have on low cost DVD's isn’t what the experts would say but I have had great luck with the Comp USA brand blank DVD-R. I used to use Fuji then started buying the Verbatim DVD-R which were great, then back at Christmas time comp USA had a sale one there DVD-R I took a chance against better judgment "they are made in Taiwan not Japan" But I have been impressed with these disc no coasters! When I play them in my stand alone I have seen no difference in the quality. The normal price here on those is about $1.00 a disc once in a while they will run a sale on spools of 100 with a in store coupon for about $18.99 for a spool of 100, usually when they run that sale it is a 12 hour sale so you would have to watch the adds for that deal. Like I said I love them and I have had no problems with them at all, I have a few other friends that also use those discs and have had no problems they are not normally priced that low like some other store brands are but you can get them at that low price if you watch the sales. If you have a Sam’s club near you they sell the Verbatim DVD-R and DVD+R for a lot less then other stores that carry them that may also help you on finding a better price. Those are made in Japan. I stand corrected prices have come down since last December The normal price now on the Comp USA brand is now about $60.00 for 100 and the Verbatim at Sam's club now run about $45.00 for 100, Comp USA still does run the 18.99 / 12 hour sale from time to time though.
