No space left on Hard Drive

After I back up and burn my dvd, I go to delete the file from my hard drive, but when I do, it doesn't give me back all the space I originally had to begin with before I backed up the dvd. Are there other large files from this dvd stored on my hard drive, and where are they so I can get my space back.

Hi and welcome to the forum, cdg329!

I have a feeling that you have Norton Works installed on your system. You need to empty that recycle bin also.

In addition to cynthia's response, do a windows search for .vob, .ifo, .bup, .iso files on your hard drive. That should show you if and where they are.

Ah yes, I forgot that norton turns in into their own recycle bin, I didn't think of that cause when I went to delete the file, it said that it was too big for the recycling bin and asked if I wanted to permanenty delete it. Thanks a lot!!
