Burner only reads 4.27 gigs worth of space

I have had a dru-700a for just over a year now and up til now it worked perfectly. I recently reformatted my hard drive, but now my burner can only read 4.27 gigs worth of space instead of what it read before which was 4.65 gigs worth of space. What could be the problem?

Does this happen only when you are backing up video ?
And are you using any different media?

No, i am using the same kind of media and this happens when i put in blank media discs.
