The Problem With The Dvd Label Is That It Is Too Big And Is Covering Part Of The Outer Edge. Remove The Label (soap And Water And Your Fingernail Will Do It) And Pay Special Attention To The Outer Edge. Replace The Labels From A Company Such As Acelabel.com With A Slightly Smaller Label And Your Problems Will Disappear!Comment

There seems to be a glitch with your sticky labels Paul! Your finger seems to be getting stuck on the submit button!. (J/K)
I know that the other sticky label producers also recommend placing only the hub sticky onto DVDs. It is a standard warning on most of the sticky label packaging. I can't imagine what you could actually put on that small of a label??!!?? I personally had too much problems when I used to use any type of sticky labels and have since opted for my Epson CD Printer a long time ago and couldn't be more satisfied with the results I'm getting.
Only time will let you know if you made a wise choice in placing any type of sticky labels on your DVDs, but I will bet against it being problem free. IMHO

Mikey Bk
I had over one hundred movies with labels that had played perfectly prior to putting the labels on. If you look at factory dvds, you will seeno impediment on the outer edge. This is not the case with some labels due to size and centering. When I removed the labels and cleaned the dvds well and reinstalled new smaller ones, my whole collection played perfectly. Thanks for the welcome.Comment

This is an addendum to my post. The labels that I now use are not the center hub labels. They are only 2 millimeters smaller , Mikey and I get the full opening scene of a movie. When you use your cd printer don't you have to buy dvds that cost about 5 times as much?Comment

I get my Verbatim 16X DVD+R at Sam's Club 100 for about $40 bucks.
So about 40 cents per disc and I do get my covers from CDCovers.CC and most of them look identical to the originals unless I choose a custom cover.
And as far as the ink, it's not any more than I would've used if I got sticky labels.
If you feel that you found the sticky labels that work for you, good for you.
I just know what 'my' personal experience with them were.MBK

I have conclusively decided that my Sharpie Pen has the least impact on my DVD's and coupled with the economics of this approach and the absence of mechanical interference on playback ......well i forgot what I was saying...oh yeah, I use a sharpie pen.Comment

Too bad you can't identify the Arccos sectors and Sharpie them out like they do on some cd's. Different colour sharpies whatta concept, I'm going to Walmart tomorrow,Green for a good movie, Red for a sucky one, Blue for a sad one, what would be the best colour for wide screen? I mostly name the movies using acronyms, as my handwriting sucks.Comment
