Seems also that plus or minus will play on everyone I know that has a DVD player that is couple yrs old or less.
They have no troubles playing any movies I burn for them.

DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink are only to be used to make backups for you and you alone of media you legally own. Anything other than that is considered "piracy" and this forum does not condone "piracy". Another grey area! What about backing up a friend's movie(s) for them, as long as they keep the copy, not you?

If your friend owns the original, and you make him a backup copy and he is the one who keeps the copy, then yes that is legal. There are really far to many variables to consider when getting right down to it. I am not the "law", it does no good to "try and convince" me with hypotheses of what "could" happen. I merely research it and report back what I find.
