        Thnx blutach.But I have read ur Golden rules already.And Columbo,I had gone thro Cynthia's post before posting my log. My firmware is updated,DMA is on.Only problem can be media. Is Sony a bad media[U]? BTW even DVD Identifier identified it as Sony.So it is not a fake.

          No, it is very good media! It might be that the drive likes other types though. See that earlier link.

          Do get rid of InCD and Prassi Veritas Driver though. Is this happening all the time? You may have a bad batch of disks. Even SONY can make bad disks occasionally.
