Burning blank discs!

I am having a problem burning dvds, rip them fine to my h/d and when burning with nero and various other software it all goes fine and verifys etc, whem i come to play the dvds on various players the disc just spins around, i can see there is info burned on the disk just by looking at it. I burn cds fine with no problems and ripped and burned many dvds in the past with no problems, please if anyone has any ideas please help.

Have you previously burnt DVD's before and they played?

Did you use the same media as you did last time?

yes i have burnt dvd's before succesfully and i am using the same media!

What brand are the blank media and at what speed did you burn them at?
