able to burn DVds but not verify ?

i am able to backup DVDs using nero 6 or decrypter but then if i select the option of verifying after copy it freezes/lock after about 30% verification. all programs do that...what could be the problem.

if i do not verify, YES, the DVDs copy and i have watched them, they are fine. but why dont the programs verify the DVD

Probably due to poor quality media.

This is just my opinion but I don't use the verify option. To me it's a waste of time. Just my opinion

Curious - did you update your firmware? There was a freezing problem with your installed version.

Yes, make sure your firmware is up to date. I was having similar problems, but none since I've updated my drive's FW.

great..now how would i know if my firmware is updated ? pls advise...thank you..(i think cyntgia or someone had sent me a firware update link and i DID it...not sure...how can i confirm if its updated please ?)

DVD Decrypter will tell you see guide here. Or you can use Nero Info Tool, or DVD Info pro, or...

I always verify. I find it one of those useful checks.

hey guys thanks for the help but a problem that continues with this is, I have the updated firmware I have tried 4 different media types them being esa, TDK, Memorex, and sonic and every one of them gives me this error. any solutions there?

Buy good stuff like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.
