    I registered for the upgrade discount but the upgrade is not available until 11-2-05 and it's still 11-1-05 in the States. They stated I would be notified by email when it is available for download and give me a price. I posted earlier that I missed the free upgrade by about 3 weeks !

                ok i have installed nero 7, and all i can say so far is it looks nicer. i don't use anything other than the 'burning rom' and 'wave editor', so i can't really be one to judge anything other than those. the 'nero scout' component sucks, and it was a mistake to not have an option to disable/not install it (there was an option at installation, and even though i clicked disable, it still was there and running 2 processes). the wave editor doesn't seem to have changed much, just slightly better interface. IMO nero wanted to make some quick cash, so they released a hyped-up product that doesn't improve on the previous one enough to warrant moving up to the next integer

                @atfish: you're welcome!

                  Nero recode 2.2.7.5 is improved with a lot of new features. More stable and better quality picture!

                    Tried this new version and there is no problems to burn with DVD Shrink.

                    The logfile is now saved in this location: C:\Program\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory.log

                      i've tried a couple of burns too, music, data/video dvd's, dvd9/5's etc. several times (for regular use, i didn't do it just to test out nero7! ) and all worked just fine. same as nero 6.6.0.16

                        This is the first time in many years that I ever needed tech support from Ahead. I purchased Nero 7 on line as soon as it was available and got over exuberant and input my license key under my name when installing it. It now thinks it is still a demo and will not let me input the key because it is the same as the key the demo was installed with. Aside from the auto responder email from Ahead (Nero) no help yet!

                        Either they are having a lot of problems and are very busy or their tech support is slow! At any rate it appears to be a fine program.

                          Not sure - but I think that's an old Nero problem. If it's the same as with version 6 - the installation setup will always show demo - but it will act as it is not a demo and you will have the full functions - even after the 30 days.

                          Think there is another bug in that version also - you can't enable Nero Express to show the burning buffer. Even if you changed the setting to show it.

                          And what happend with the Exit button?

                            Thanks Cynthia,

                            The only other thing that makes me think that it still might be a demo is that when I check for an update it tells me this function is not available and crashes, than it takes me to the Nero purchase page.

                            InCd would not install originally, but when I uninstalled and then did a custom install, in hopes that it would install with the demo key and than allow me to used my licensed key, I chose to install InCd and even though there was no love with the key it did install InCd.

                              Why don't you use the clean tool and re-install?

                                I did not know that Nero had a clean tool or I certainly would have used it. I'll go take a look and see if i can find it.

                                Thanks
