Default installation mode worked without problems. It was the custom one that crashed.

Hi folks,

I have Nero 7 Premium, but sinc eI have been seeing so many negative posts about the darn thing I haven't bother to upgrade my Nero 6.6.14 and Nero Digital 3.1.0.25.

BTW, has anyone used the Nero Vision Express 3 to make a "Menu" for a dvd?
I jsut played with it for the first time ... trying to make a simple Menu to burn my 3 ISO's on one dvd ...
Q: Is it suppose to take over hour and half (90+ minutes) to do this thing?

I have Nero 7 installed.

The menu creation is slow. But it also depends on how fast you CPU speed is.

Hi folks,

I have a Question ... why is DVDShrink transcodes so much as faster than Nero Vision Express? Or are they 2 different things. I try combining 3 clips together using both programs and DVDS goes so much faster!!!

shrink is just doing a partial compression on mpeg2 files, I used vision to change pal to ntsc(took almost as long as the play time) with fastest settings, took a long time to scan a long avi and make chapters for vob's.

Thanks ... that's exactly what I wanted to do ... make 3 button chapter for the 3 short movies ... then when I saw 2 hour estiamted time, I said the heck with it ... I just compiled them with DVDS and I think when I play them in my stand-alone dvd player I should push thru as Titles 1, 2, 3 ... I guess it will be same as Menu.

If I ever learn how to use half the stuff in vision I will be happy.

course I had 2 or 3 backups with dvdfab that had no chapters, real careful
about saving my place with my standalone.
