    Encoded but failed to burn

I am very new to DVD Shrink and it has not been a problem until now!

It seems to copy ok but when it asks for a empty disc you put it in and nearly immediately it comes up with
    "Internal Target Failed"

I then tried copying from c drive thru nero and it comes up with same error.

    Any help would be great!

G'day mate. Can you please post your Nero log? It is located in C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory.log

In the meantime, please read the Golden Rules of Burning in my signature and this thread.

          "Nero API version: 6.6.0.12"
Update your version of Nero, they are up to 6.6.0.16 now. Go here and download "Update-Package 1" - http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php

          "<PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-106D>Version: 1.07 "
Is your drive a Medion OEM drive, Acer OEM or a Sony OEM ?

          "CdRomPeripheral : PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-106D atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off"
Check your DMA settings - How ? do this -> Go to Control Panel> System> Hardware Tab> Device Manager> IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers> Right Click Primary IDE channel (and Secondary IDE channel after you finish with Primary)> Properties> Advanced Settings Tab> Transfer Mode or go here: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616

Do the above from both "Primary & Secondary IDE channels".

I (We) and you need to look at whats in both "Transfer Mode" and "Current Transfer Mode". Screen shot below is what I'm talking about.

If it is in "PIO" mode. Click the "Driver" tab, and uninstall the driver. Then reboot. Upon rebooting windows will automatically reinstall the driver and it should go back to "DMA" mode.

(Your screen may or may not look the same as my screen shots)

          "Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AE1"
Get some better blank media. I suggest in Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden brand media.

Have updated Nero. Attempted to change DMA mode but even after I uninstall driver on Primary IDE it changes transfer mode back to PIO. Not sure what to do have tried it so many times and rebooted and occassionally it will show dma mode so I'll try burning and still same error.

I just encoded another dvd and it came up with error "error & can't continue not enough space on target drive" What does this mean?

Have also tried copying from C/drive and still get "internal target failure"

Post a new log. Remember, the very last log is the newest (most recent) log in "NeroHistory.log" file.

" just encoded another dvd and it came up with error "error & can't continue not enough space on target drive" What does this mean?"
Its pretty self explanatory. You don't have enough room anymore on your hard drive. You need to delete some stuff. If you have "Norton" installed, you also need to right click on the recycle bin and left click on "Empty Norton Protected Recycle Bin", then "Purge All".

"Have also tried copying from C/drive and still get "internal target failure"
Not sure I understand exactly what you mean by "copying from C: drive"?

Copying from c drive are the dvds that I have downloaded on the hard drive. They won't copy either! They are also probably what is taking up the space.

Checked basically very little space. Don't have Norton so will have to go thru and delete some stuff!

If I could download my dvd files I could clear them off. Just need to work out why I can't burn!

Have you checked to see if you can even play the files from the hard drive?
Powerdvd etc, what's very little? You may be too late, they may be hosed.

Well the last movies you encoded to your hard drive probably are spread all
                          over, extremely fragmented.
Are your blanks made in China?
