Download cdspeed(if you don't already have it in nero toolkit).
this will only work with newer nec, liteon, benq and a very few other dvd
burners.
start the program and select your burner in the top window, go to options under file, in the disk quality section, at the top right increase the measure points from 20 to 50 in the quick scan section.
Now check quick scan in the main window!
Put in a known good burn, wait, and hit start, in a minute or so it's done.
Leave everything open and load another disk, take notes on the mid codes
and the scores from different disks. You can narrow down your future coasters efficently this way. As lower quality media deteriorates faster
it's a good idea to monitor your burns.
