I feel sorry that flashing your HP burner's firmware didn't work in safe mode. In this case, I think you can reinstall the HP RecordNow via the application restoration from one of the restoration or recovery CDs that come with your PC so you don't have to reinstall the windows again

Well there lyes the problem, about six months ago or so i did a complete install with the recovery cds hp sent me, and afterwards i noticed my 300n didnt burn at 4x anymore. I was understanding once you flash your drive you dont lose the firmare. But i was unable to burn at 4x, so i tryed flashing again with record now installed, and thats when i notice the error. The 630 i ,was ok, i still had the latest firmare i installed prio to the recovery. Thats why i decide to trash record now , since i hardly used it in the first place, but to make a long story short, somehow i got it burning at 4x again, I was just wondering how or why this does this. I mean if i was to go out and buy the hp 740 and put it in another pc other than an hp would i be able to flash it, and if the answer is yes what is in the hp that causes this error, you follow me.But its not that big of deal since i am able to burn, i thought just maybe sombody else had the same problem with record now and hp. Thanks for the sugestions.Last edited by mill; 2 Mar 2006, 02:17 AM.Keep Plugin awayComment
