    nec 3520-----4551

    according to Dee:

The very nice people at NEC have at last made the strategies compatible from the ND-3520 - ND-4551. Only the memory offsets in the firmware differ. This meant i could create 6 firmwares for these drives in one day. Usually this task would take weeks.

    nec,
instead of fighting the crossflashers, has answered back with a big plus for their drives, this kind of support is unheard of from all the others

Great information from a great site and a great manufacturer...can't wait to get home and try the new flash...

Evidently nec put their best effort into the 4551 with write strategies, but
has made them(not the firmwares) compatible across this range(3520-4551).
So far Dee has just released a few drives, the base strats are new for appropriate drives!

        for example the nec 3550,
        Change log
        1.Y6
All new firmware based on ND-4551A writing strategies with media speed ups and tweaks.

Yeah thanks Chewy, I wouldn't have known it was updated otherwise.
