I have no idea why I did this, but some would say typical Nero. Look at the difference in KB's.

PNG format is better: file dimensions are smaller and pics are clearer.

Have you tryied to set preferences as in pic I posted? cd-dvd speed should be able to save in png without any software added.

I'm curious to know if Zero G will solve his problem in this way.

I don't think that win2k have such a problem. Maybe it's only a setting problem.

Setting rip speed at such a lower value is not a good idea. If a disc can't be ripped @high speed, then the burn have a low quality.

Transfer rate test (TRT) should be done at the highest speed possible because in this way the disc is checked in the worst conditions. If a disc have a TRT linear in the worst conditions, then the disc is burned very well.

TransferRateTest1 hit an unrecovered read error so I adjusted read speed with TransferRateTest2, same disc.

which shows the data can be transfered and recovered, just at a slower speed. When 4x won't get it then you are in trouble

the 4x read test(TRT) shows altho a bad burn not that bad?

gdiplus.dll not found in this version of CD-DVD Speed when trying to change capture options. Version in Nero 6 allows for changes in graphic formats. Something weird happening in this version in W2K at least.

@ Chewy At least I'm nice and squeaky clean!

probably, somewhere in the registry-- finding it will be no picnic . you should really give xnview/irfanview a try; faster loading, decent compression, and excellent compatibility.
