Failure on every Dvd

Then I used a TDK dvd-r disc and the movie freezes up and failes.

post that log and maybe we can get some clues. my crystal ball hasn't been working very well lately

Are you trying to burn DVD-Rs as DVD-ROMs? Only DVD+Rs can be burned as DVD-ROMs. See this article by blutach on bitsetting.

the older versions of nero did that to me on their own, I never even found the setting till much later, no problemo tho

I burned using ImgBurn. Where do i find the log to that?

You have to capture it during the burn

I don´t know much about this with firmware and so on.

But I have Firmware:Version A102.

Burner: HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4163B

Where can i find a newer firmware? Maybe a direct link to it?

I gave it to you earlier, choose either A105 or A106, they are both good
